Recently, the legendary, incredible, and super-funny Joan Rivers thought Gene would be the perfect "older Iron-Man" to give as a birthday present to one of the most famed agent-mangers and producers in the entertainment business...Sandy Gallin. In on the joke was Gene's longtime friend Miss Patti Labelle. She was so glad to see him and welcomed him with a big hug, breaking the ice for Gene with the others there..Barbra Striesand, Hugh Jackman, Carol Beyer-Seger, David Foster, James Brolin, and too many other stars to even mention in the audience. The party was at Donna Karan's huge studio, and Patti, Barbra, and Hugh all performed. It was the first time EVER that Barbra sang at a private party, and she was INCREDIBLE as always. .It was awesome, and when we started the disco, I (Terry) began my "crazy" dancing .Tony Danza (whom we knew from being in the Tony Luke film "The Nail" was there as well, and he and some of Broadway's top dancers and choreographers cut in. Lot's of fun. Bette Midler, Richard Gere, Ellin Barkin, and tons of other BILLIONAIRES were there. Just another night out for them. What was neat were what a reporter called "the large number of Hollywood type mature beauties over 50 in strapless dresses with DD cups overflowing from the lovely granny-set"..I guess this means no age limit on beauty.
.We also recently did an interview at Studio E, with Bobby Eli (Longtime Sounds Of Philly Music Guitar-Master, producer, and hit-songwriter), and Kenny Kirby (Sly and The Family Stone member and more). They've been entrusted to place Linda Creed's unheard songs out to the world..and have done an exemplarary job with them. We put some of Bobby's favorites of his hits and some of the new Linda Creed songs in it for you to enjoy. They found Nate Harmon, and awesome "Donny Hathaway" type singer, to do the songs, and the sessions sound great. Gene still does a great voiceover for interviews. I help him put it all together.

Russ Edwards CD doing well.getting play across the country on "Americana" and Cowboy" music stations. Our song, "I Won't Quit Now", (co-written with Russ) is getting excellent airplay and reviews as well. Hopefully, it can be used in an inspirational TV spot for a product or idea tht "never quits whatever!"
..Recently, we were cast to work as patients on "MERCY", the NBC-TV series, and on "Lights Out"..a new FOX Network show, where our roles were "ringside celebrities" at a heavyweight Championship fight..We were also in Law and Order SVU in a NYC shoot, and are now in LA to see if any work may be here for us. Our friend Jack English has worked on the new Dustin Hoffman Nick Nolte film, which he thinks we may work on. Sandy and MARS DOING LOTS ON Glee, and in Adam Sandler's new flicks. We met Sandy and daughter Julie in NYC November 14. The two D-Cuppers are having a blast
We have lost our old friend Weldon McDougal. He had just returned from England. He had also recently been invited to speak about the roots of black music at the Rock n' Roll Hall Of Fame not long before his passing.

This Spring we MC'd the BIG Cameo Parkway Concert bringing Charlie Gracie, Dee Dee Sharp, The Orlons and The Tymes together for an incredible night of Music and Memories, (produced by Charlie Gracie JR)..he will be back from a smash 5 week European tour before Thanksgiving. We also just spent an Evening with Denise Montana, The "Goody-Goody" girl from the hit song "Number 1 DJ", which I was very proud to be part of. She sand it at our d'Scene reunion and tore the place up, as well as with some of he jazz favorites.Terry also dusted off her "French Chantuese" act, and sounded (and looked) incredible.

They are also both in "The Nail" now on Showtime, and "No Boundaries," a Philly Fil Festival winner. Both also appear in the great new rock video for the group THE MAINE. "The Tridells", "Land Of Love" wasalso recorded in our studios and written by yours truly when I was professionally known as Rick Roman in my early singing, acting, and songwriting days. It's sad, but those kind of "entire songs" and ideas do not come any longer, and have not since my accident. We recently were thrilled to be reunited with The Tridels in Philadelphia..
Another song from our Sandee/Worldwide Limited label was a Doo-Wop Favorite when the group played live and sang it accapella.. They were "THE GOOD GUYS" and the NEXT SONG IS THEIR HIT "DOM DE DOM DOM", which was also written by me as Rick Roman..
The next arrow down is the TRIDELLS "Image Of My Love", a big regional hit again recorded at our 212 N 12th studios and written by me. Terry is the female French voice on this song.Country-folk-rock-Troubador Russ Edwards co-wrote many songs with us in the past, and just recently, a new one.."I Won't Quit Now!" Terry and I were in LA and ready to go out.(She asked if I was "all washed up?" I answered her by saying "Yes, But I'm not washed out"..( but some days I feel like I am) The result..Russ collaborated on this great new song from my question to Gene.. Check him out on MySpace. This is a "demo Version" without all of the "goodies in yet." The newspaper you see (click to enlarge) was a front-page NE Times story about Gene's famed "Propane Car"..which he drove to the Earth Day event in Fairmount Park that we had helped put together with the promotion dept at his station, WCAU-1210, publicizing it for us. . Gene invited his WCAU talk-show listeners (and everyone else) back to see the car behind the station. He drew over 1000. Gene Arnold was eventually fired from his talk show there for taking positions they didn't like, so it was back to "Giant Gene's AM Underground" and more rock and roll. Our good friends The American Dream played for me at that event, as did my friends Lolly and Pat Vegas of Redbone, Stewkey and Nazz, and other great groups, none of which seem to remember Eliot Einhorn, a "center-city figure" but do remember it was an event that we had helped to put together and contacted them to play for .
